Lawrence Williams has dedicated his life to serving the families of District 2 through education, mentorship, and community leadership. A proud graduate of North Carolina Central University and Goucher College, he believes education is the pathway to opportunity and generational progress. With more than 30 years of experience in Maryland Public Schools, Lawrence served as a teacher, coach, Dean of Students, Assistant Principal, and Night School Principal before being appointed Superintendent Designee, gaining valuable insight into how leadership decisions impact families and communities.

Over 25 years ago, he founded the Caring For Young Minds Foundation to expand mentorship and support for youth and families. An active member and former President of the Baltimore County Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Lawrence continues his commitment to service through community engagement and faith at New Psalmist Baptist Church. With executive leadership experience and a lifelong dedication to the community, Lawrence Williams is ready to serve District 2 with integrity, compassion, and results.
